Offering FREE, HIGH QUALITY tutoring and enrichment programs for students in need

The Rising Star PTA is a 501c registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support via fund raising to expand proven academic programs for our student body to set them up for success.

As The Seattle Times noted, "Research emphasizes the efficacy of high-dosage, one-on-one tutoring in addressing learning gaps." We also know early intervention is crucial: students who fall behind third-grade reading levels are four times more likely to drop out of high school.

We are a dedicated team of volunteers that believe in the potential of ALL of our students and making sure they have the resources they need to thrive and succeed.

Our program currently runs only three days a week and includes snacks, engaging activities, and targeted one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions. With the right support, we know our students can thrive.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 for this 2025/2026 academic year to not only cover the cost of the existing program but to expand it to 5 days a week for increased impact.
